Director's BIO
MERCEDES MARRO (Bilbao, SPAIN, 1964):Animation Director with over 25 years’ experience in the 2D & 3D animation industry. One of her renowned projects, Ask Lara, was nominated for EMMY Kids Awards and BAA (British Animation Awards) both in 2012 and in the INPUT (International Public Television) 2013. Her short film, Water Path for a fish, was preselected for the GOYA Awards 2017 and in over 100 international film festivals. Standing out on her filmography multi-award-winning titles such as Break a Leg, Sincopats, Collonades, Howdy Gaudi, Blanche, Picnic with Pie, Pikkuli, among others, she also has worked in the preschool television series Emmy & GooRoo, and in the Star Bright short film, as a co-director, both projects in conjunction with the Shanghai-based studio Left Pocket.
